About the role
The role of Director, Performance and Funding, you will lead a team responsible for the administration of the Hauora Māori Appropriation. You will also monitor and report on the performance of Hauora Māori outcomes and utilise operational information from providers, data and evidence to bring about change in health services to Māori.
About the Team/Service
As the Hauora Māori Service of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) our core role is to ensure New Zealanders have better and more timely access to health care. The devolution of resources and decision making to the regions ensures those closest to service users and whānau are involved in decisions on how healthcare is delivered. We are committed to ensuring our operating model is responsive to the needs of Māori.
About you
You will be able to lead a diverse group of subject matter experts in relation to intelligence, funding and investment, and performance monitoring and reporting, while collaborating to influence investment decisions across the organisation and advise on broader spectrum of health delivery needs for Māori. You will have experience leading national funding and investment priorities, including national contract management, monitoring and reporting of provider performance.
You will have the following:
- A minimum of ten years' work experience in a similar position, including five years as a leader
- Experience in leading significant programmes of work from development to implementation
- Experience working in a Māori cultural context and cultural capability working in tikanga, te reo and kawa
- Significant experience managing complex relationships wile in a complex, fast-paced environment
