Job Description
Our Supply team are the team that fuels our customers, literally! Supply at Z Energy looks after the whole fuel supply chain and ensures we have what we need, where we need it. Our terminals are an important part of this network.
These roles don’t come up often but due to an internal move we are pleased to provide an opportunity to manage our Mt Maunganui North and South Terminals. As our Kaitaki Paheko Tumu Herenga Waka ki Maunganui Mt Maunganui Combined Terminal Manager, you’ll guide work at the terminal including leading a team and supervising terminal staff and contractors. This role has a range of responsibilities including planning, coordinating and overseeing all terminal operations, engineering, maintenance and ensuring compliance with Safety & Wellbeing as well as cost control and financial performance.
It is a requirement of this role to work overtime and be on call to respond to breakdowns of plant and equipment and emergencies when required.
You will have the opportunity to
- Lead two teams, providing people related support, coaching and mentoring
- Work in close-knit teams at the Terminals overseeing tasks such as: receipting products, , tank gauging, truck loading/unloading, product sampling & testing, product transfers, compliance checks and forklift operations etc.
- Ensure we deliver terminal KPIs, meet financial performance targets and cost management controls so we run a safe and efficient terminal operation
- Deliver the Terminal Maintenance plan and day-to-day management of Terminal maintenance service providers. This includes checking work carried out by third parties and carrying out driver and contractor inductions.
- Lead Safety and Wellbeing policies, standards and procedures to ensure the Terminal is run in a safe and reliable way
- Work with the Z Engineering team to make sure projects are delivered safely to time and on budget
Qualifications

- Knowledge of terminal operations and the ability to work in a hands on and practical way
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills to ensure positive relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- The ability to lead, mentor and coach team members to improve performance and maintain standards
- Flexibility to work outside in all weather conditions and a range of hours
- Experience and the knowledge of managing a hazardous environment with a commitment to safety
- The ability to embrace change and bring your team on the journey

The base salary range for this role is $129,800 to $152,650 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution, health insurance through Southern Cross and overtime rates for working outside of normal hours is also included. A car is included with this role.
