About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
This is a 12-month fixed-term Senior Advisor role in our small Performance and Risk team responsible for the Ministry’s external accountability reporting.
Working closely with our Principal Advisor, the role supports the preparation of our key accountability documents like the Annual Report and other related external reporting.
The role will also be involved in supporting the Estimates process and working across the business to identify new performance measures and strengthen and improve our existing measures.
Salary range: $100,296 - $121,490 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
You will have had experience in a similar reporting role and come with a strong understanding of the machinery of government and public sector accountability reporting requirements.
You will be an independent thinker with strong analytical skills, an excellent communicator with great writing experience and a collaborative person who works well in a team and with a range of different stakeholders internally and externally.
You will be joining a small well-performing team of professionals focussed on high quality and timely delivery that operate in a flexible environment focussed on getting things done.
About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake
The Performance and Risk team is responsible for our key accountability reporting and for providing specialist enterprise risk management advice and support across the Ministry.
The team sits within Strategy and Performance in our Te Pou Rangatopu I Corporate business group responsible for ensuring the Ministry’s key strategy, governance, performance, programme and risk management frameworks support us achieve our core purpose.
