About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
We are seeking two superstar administrators to join our Contracts & Processing Team.
- 1 x Fixed Term position for 12 months until January 2027
- 1x Fixed Term position for 7 months until August 2026
The Administrator, Contracts and Processing role is a key part of Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga | Education Workforce (TPOM), helping bring government priorities to life and championing the value of the education profession across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.
In this role, you’ll support a team that is passionate about growing a diverse, high‑quality teaching workforce. Together, you’ll use workforce insights to refine existing incentives and shape innovative new initiatives that help attract and retain great teachers.
As an Administrator, you’ll be hands‑on with the day‑to‑day processing of applications and payments. Your accuracy, pace, and attention to detail will ensure key deadlines are met and the wider work programme runs smoothly and reliably.
Salary range: $60,879- $72,999 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

- Proven admin experience in a busy or complex environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills — you collaborate easily and work well with others to get great results.
- Event and travel coordination skills, from booking flights to supporting workshops, hui, and conferences.
- A customer‑first mindset, delivering clear, timely, high‑quality service.
- Confident communication, whether you’re writing emails, talking on the phone, or engaging face‑to‑face.
- Strong digital skills and a willingness to learn new systems and tools.
- Commitment to Public Service values, including integrity, respect, and service to others.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
